THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN KNOWLEDGE AND ATTITUDE WITH EFFORT OF SCHISTOSOMIASIS PREVENTION BY COMMUNITY IN THE WORK AREA PUBLIC HEALTH CARE CENTER OF WUASA

Abstract: Schistosomiasis is a disease caused by worm Schistosoma japonicum which requires an intermediate animal, namely snail called Oncomelania Hupensis Lindoensis. In the work area Health Care Canter of Wuasa, still many cases, because most population are immigrants, they open rice fields and plantations in focus snail. The purpose was to determine relationship between knowledge attitudes with effort prevention Community Public Center North Lore District, Poso Regency. This type research analytic cross sectional approach. variables this study community efforts prevent Schistosomiasis. types data primary secondary. collection using questionnaire. Data analysis used univariate bivariate Chi-square test. were all people District. Sampling proportional random sampling technique total 99 respondents. results showed that 77.8% respondents had good schistosomiasis efforts, 52.5% 83.8% quite efforts. Bivariate statistical test 95% confidence level significance value 0.05. there p-value = 0.000 (where p < 0.05) 0.003 0.05). conclusion significant Wuasa.
